Banks boost support for COVID-19 affected customers

(ĐN)- Over the past time, many local banks have restructured the repayment periods, waived or reduced the interest, maintained the debt classifications in order to support Covid-19 affected customers, according to Dong Nai branch of State Bank of Vietnam.

 

(ĐN)- Over the past time, many local banks have restructured the repayment periods, waived or reduced the interest, maintained the debt classifications in order to support Covid-19 affected customers, according to Dong Nai branch of State Bank of Vietnam.

Particularly, they have supported 1,510 COVID-19 affected clients whose outstanding loans total VND4.2 trillion through such measures as extending debt repayment deadlines, exempting or reducing loan interests, and cutting down fees.

Since the beginning of this year, local credit organizations have provided preferential loans totaling over VND66.4 trillion to more than 18,000 customers.

In the coming time, the branch will continue to drastically put in place supporting measures, help COVID-19-affected clients to overcome difficulties.
