(ĐN)- Revenues from travel, accommodation and catering services in the six-month period was estimated at VND7.1 trillion, down 12.5 percent year-on-year due to the impact of the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
Accordingly, catering service revenue was more than VND6.9 trillion, a decrease of 11.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
Hotels and tourist accommodations reported a year-on-year decline of 32.4 percent in turnover in the first half of the year.
Travel service revenues reached nearly VND1 trillion, decreasing 53.8 percent year-on-year. Travel firms also reported a 58.4 percent drop in tourist numbers in this period.
