(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s consumer price index (CPI) in May went up 0.38 percent from the previous month, according to the province’s Statistics Office.
Accordingly, the average CPI of the first five months of this year increased by 4.17 per cent over the same period in 2019.
Five of the 11 groups of goods and services used to calculate the CPI saw month-on-month price increases. The food group saw the strongest rises of 2.06 percent, followed by restaurant and catering services with 1.27 percent, culture, entertainment and tourism (1.08 percent), housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials (0.76 percent), garment-headgear-footwear (0.1 percent).
Meanwhile, a sharp fall was seen in transportation.
