As many as 733 new businesses were established in the period, with a combined registered capital of VND5.6 trillion.
Some 68 others have registered to expand their operations with a total additional capital of VND1.14 trillion.
The department said that there were 257 businesses suspending their operation during the three-month period, falling 7 percent year on year. Meanwhile, some 84 firms halted their operations to fulfill dissolution procedures.
