(ĐN)- On March 5, a delegation led by Managing Director of FedEx Express Indochina Hardy Diec had a working session with Dong Nai’s leaders on Long Thanh International Airport project.
Accordingly, FedEx Express, one of the world's largest express service providers, wants to cooperate with Dong Nai in particular and Vietnam in general in building as well as operating the airport.
Addressing at the session, Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee said that Long Thanh International Airport project is made up of three investment phases with the ultimate goal of making the airport capable of serving 100 million passengers and handling 5 million tonnes of goods a year.
In the first phase of the project, one runway and two terminals will be built, together with other components.
Long Thanh International Airport will open its doors by 2025 at the latest and will handle 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tonnes of goods a year once the first phase is completed.
