(ĐN)- There are 598,200 laborers working at local industrial parks (IPs), an in crease of some 17,000 laborers compared to the end of 2018, according to Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA).
Industries with large number of laborers included garment and textile and footwear, accounting for 57 percent of the entire workforce. It was followed by mechanics, plastic, chemical and wooden processing sectors.
Footwear and garment and textile are now leading the province’s export turnover with a value of around US$6.5 billion.
Currently, the average monthly income per worker at IPs sees a year-on-year increase of 7-10 percent.
Many enterprises implemented improved policies including increases in salaries and bonuses to encourage and help their workers feel secure and engaged in their work.
