Accordingly, the province has focused on forming industries producing materials for garment and textile to increase the localisation ratio for industrial products while reducing dependence on imported materials.
Statistics from the department revealed that the province is now home to 137 businesses involved in support industries for the garment and textile sector, accounting for 23 percent of total supporting industry firms in the locality.
The figure included 119 foreign directed investment (FDI) enterprises from Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Japan and China and 18 domestic ones.
