In 2019, the department collected VND19.1 trillion for the State budget revenue, fulfilling 103 percent of the target.

In the period, the department also held three dialogues with more than 300 Taiwanese, Japanese and RoK businesses to clear up their concerns on policies for exporting and importing goods.

Addressing at the event, Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hung praised efforts made by the customs sector in 2019. He hoped that the sector would continue to reform administrative procedures to create further favorable conditions for enterprises in the coming time.

Deputy General Director Nguyen Duong Thai also asked the customs sector to continue to promote the application of information technology in its operation, improve the business environment and enhance competitiveness.

The sector will strive to collect VND19.6 trillion in 2020.
