(ĐN)- On January 9, Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) held a meeting to review its activities in 2019 and outline new tasks for 2020.

(ĐN)- On January 9, Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) held a meeting to review its activities in 2019 and outline new tasks for 2020.

Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee attended the event.

According to DoIT, Dong Nai’s industrial production index in 2019 saw a year-on-year increase of some 8.8 percent, fulfilling 100 percent of the yearly plan.

In the period, the province also exported over US$19.7 billion worth of products and spent US$16.2 billion on imports in 2019, resulting in a trade surplus of US$3.5 billion, the highest figure over the past five years.

Meanwhile, Dong Nai's total turnover from retails and services estimated at VN173.8 trillion in 2019.

In 2020, the department targets to reach export turnover of US$21.7 billion, a year-on-year rise of 10-11 percent, industrial production index growth of  8-9 percent.
