(ĐN) - According to Cam My district’s Office of Agriculture, the African swine fever (ASF) virus has affected 539 households and 54 pig farms in the locality. So far, more than 33,300 pigs have been destroyed with total loss of over VND61 billion.
Accordingly, the district has spent over VND40 billion to support ASF-affected pig breeders.
Over the past time, Cam My has recently taken drastic measures to prevent and control the disease in the district.
Particularly, the agricultural sector was co-operating with relevant agencies to strictly monitor the burial of pigs, instructing local breeders to take measures to stop the spread of the disease and apply of livestock biosecurity.
