The May figure brought the province’s total footwear export value in the first five months of this year to more than US$1.67 billion, a year-on-year rise of over 16 percent.
Footwear sector is the province’s third biggest export earner and has reported a trade surplus of around US$1.3 billion.
Local footwear products are now being exported to some 100 countries and territories around the world.
