(ĐN) - Dong Nai exported 14,200 tonnes of rubber worth some US$20 million in the first four months of this year, up 48 percent in volume and nearly 88 percent in value year-on-year, the Department of Industry and Trade reported.

Currently, the average export price is almost US$1,450 per tonne. The province’s rubber was mainly exported to the RoK, China, Taiwan, Holland and Germany.

The price of rubber increased in this period due to a supply shortage. According to the experts, the coffee price may go up as the goods is still in demand.

Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand cut rubber exports from April 1 in an attempt to boost the price of the product.
