(ĐN)- On April 17, Mr Chung Wen Cheng, Head of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, paid a working visit to Dong Nai to tighten relations and expand investment in the province.
Taiwanese businesses have invested in more than 300 projects totaling over US$5 billion in the province so far, ranking second among countries and territories running investment in Dong Nai.
Speaking at the working session, Mr Chung Wen Cheng said that Dong Nai is in top three localities attracting Taiwanese investors. Most of Taiwanese businesses are operating effectively in the province; therefore, many of them would like to increase their investment in the fields of industry and hi-tech agriculture. He thanked local authorities for their supports to help Taiwanese enterprises to make long-term investments in the province.
Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee affirmed that the provincial authorities will continue to always create favourable conditions for foreign firms to do business in dong Nai, including those from Taiwan.
Over the past time, the provincial authorities has organized many dialogues with Taiwanese enterprises to clear up their concerns while operating in the locality.
