Dong Nai needs some $1.22 bln for infrastructure works

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment is calling for nearly US$1.22 billion in investment in 12 projects in this year, heard an investment promotion forum held in Rach Gia city on January 15.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment is calling for nearly US$1.22 billion in investment in 12 projects in this year, heard an investment promotion forum held in Rach Gia city on January 15.

The projects include six wastewater treatment and drainage projects totaling over US$806.3 million and six transport projects with a combined investment capital of some US$410.6 million.

Largest transport project in Dong Nai this year is the inter-port route in Nhon Trach district with an estimated investment of US$235.6 million.

The other projects include the 24.5 km-route connecting Cam My district’s centre to Highway No.1, some US$26 million, the 50 km-road linking Trang Bom and Xuan Loc district, US$50 million, the 6 km-road road to Phuoc An port in Nhon Trach district, US$43 million, Thong Nhat bridge to develop Hiep Hoa island in Bien Hoa city, US$45 million, and the 2.4 km-road connecting Bui Huu Nghia Street to Highway 1K, US$11 million.

In 2019, Dong Nai will continue to deploy synchronous solutions, creating favourable conditions, supporting investors and enterprises to implement projects as planned, speeding up construction and contributing to local socio-economic development.

In addition to transport projects, the province is also calling for investment in environmental protection projects this year.

Local authorities have called on investors to set up two more drainage and wastewater treatment units worth US$357 million in Bien Hoa city. Other projects are wastewater treatment systems in Nhon Trach, Long Khanh, Long Thanh and Trang Bom.
