Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee has announced a list of 12 infrastructure projects calling for investment worth more than US$1.2 billion in total.
Both domestic and foreign investors are invited to invest in the projects.
Six of the 12 projects are in the transport sector, with the biggest one being a 15-km road in Nhon Trach district worth USS$235 million.
The remaining six projects are in the waste water treatment and drainage sector, including two schemes in Bien Hoa city worth a combined USS$357 million, and four in other localities.
The provincial authorities said the projects are designed to help promote local socio-economic development and environmental protection.
Dong Nai has attracted more than USS$373 million in 38 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects as of the end of March, of which US$152.6 million was registered in 18 new FDI projects and USS$220.5 million was added to 20 existing ones.
According to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, most of the projects are in supporting industry that is high-tech and environmentally friendly.
The province has been home to 1,901 FDI projects with a total registered capital of USS$34.1 billion. Of them, 1,400 projects worth USS$28.9 billion are operational.
