(ĐN)- There was a surge in sales at supermarkets and shopping malls in Dong Nai during the four-day New Year holiday.
Many supermarkets said the number of shoppers had increased by two or three times compared to normal days.
There had been abundant supply during the holiday so prices had been steady. Supermarkets increased stocks of products usually in high demand such as fruits, vegetables, seafood, meat and soft drinks.
On this occasion, local supermarkets and trade centers also offered many promotions, including discounts of up to 50 percent on many leading brands.
