(ĐN)- Many businesses in Dong Nai have prepared enough goods at stable prices for the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, which falls on February 5, according to Department of Industry and Trade
The focus would be on poultry and cattle meats, sugar, eggs, processed foods, cooking oils and rice, etc.
Many poultry meat and egg suppliers, including Binh Minh and Thanh Duc, planed to increase supply by 10-30 percent for the holiday season.
Over the last month, the companies have increased productivity of their chicken farms for eggs and meat to meet high demand during Tet.
Supermarkets and trade centers have also made plans for Tet, with many increasing supply over normal.
In addition to keeping price of products such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, pork, and poultry eggs and meat under the province’s price stabilization program unchanged, the supermarkets will launch many promotion programs to encourage people to purchase in the holiday.
Big C supermarket chain in Dong Nai said it would increase supply by 20 percent compared to previous year.
Co.opmart Bien Hoa too has made efforts to ensure adequate supply and steady prices during Tet.
The companies participating in the price stabilization program have promised to keep prices steady for a month before and after the holidays. They would cut the prices of essential items like pork and chicken meat and eggs before Tet.
In the coming time, the department will coordinate with other relevant agencies to monitor the market to ensure supply and quality.
