(ĐN) - Dong Nai lured some US$1.8 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first eleven months of 2018, up nearly US$600 million over the same period last year and exceeding the yearly target by 80 percent.

Of the total, around US$950 million was poured into 109 new projects, while more than US$821 million was added into 94 underway ones.
Most of the projects are in supporting industries that are environmentally friendly with high technology. Topping the list of investors are those from the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, British Virgin Islands and Germany, etc.
Those with extra investment include KCC Company of Singapore and Saitex Fabrics VN by China at Nhon Trach 6 industrial park in Long Thanh district, which got a registered capital of US$60 million and US$57 million, respectively.
Currently, the province is home to 1,380 valid FDI projects from 45 countries and territories worth US$28.5 billion.
