Nearly VND32 tril loans for SMEs

(ĐN)- As of October 8, Dong Nai-based banks and credit organizations provided loans totaling around VND32 trillion to local small and medium enterprises (SMEs), making up 17.5 percent of total loans, an increase of nearly 8 percent compared to the end of last year.

Bad debts and overdue debts at SMEs accounted for only 1 percent of total loans.

Over the past time, the province planed to help the SMEs that are operating in priority fields gain access to loans to renovate their technologies for higher production and business performance.

Currently, the VND lending rates for short-term loans remain at 6-9 percent per year, medium and long-term at 9-11 percent.
