(ĐN) - Dong Nai ranked third among localities nationwide in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) with about US$1.6 billion landing into local projects since the beginning of 2018, according to Department of Planning and Investment.
The amount presented an increase of 60 percent against the yearly plan. It included 101 newly- licensed projects totaling nearly US$804 million and over US$789 million added into 87 operational projects.
Most of the expanded projects are poured into industrial production such as manufacturing machineries and equipment, electronic components, footwear, textile, and fibers, etc.
The province is currently home to some 1,400 FDI projects with a total registered capital of more than US$28 billion.
