(ĐN)- Farmers in Ta Lai commune of Tan Phu district have strongly developed the cultivation of green-skin pomelo which helped them earn high profits.
The commune has now more than 200 hectares of green-skin pomelo and 150 hectares are under harvest. The rise of cultivation area of green-skin pomelo is attributed to the increasing economic value of the fruit.
The prices of green-skin pomelo is now sold at garden at VND32,000-42,000 per kilogram. According to the farmers, one hectare of green-skin pomelo can help them earn VND500-600 million a year.
Ta Lai commune has also established a cooperative for growing green-skin pomelo under VietGAP standards.
