Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hung of the provincial People’s Committee presided over the event.

In Jan-June, 16 new cooperatives have been established in Dong Nai with a total registered capital of more than VND31 billion.

Dong Nai is now home to 381 cooperatives, People’s credit funds and a cooperative alliance with a combined charter capital of more than VND1 trillion with the participation of nearly 95,000 members, creating regular jobs for more than 25,000 laborers.

Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairman highlighted the need to roll out incentives for collective economic organizations and cooperatives to consolidate their operations, create new-style cooperatives.

Local cooperatives also need to renovate themselves, improve their management capacity and revamp their operations, he added.
