(ĐN)- Bien Hoa city Farmers' Association on July 9-10 held the ninth congress to discuss tasks for the new tenure in the 2018-2023 period.
Over the past five years, the association mobilized nearly VND3.8 billion from its rich members to help poor members develop production and escape poverty.
It also raised more than VND33 billion and over 129,000 sq.m of land to build rural traffic roads. In this period, nearly 65% of households have been recognized as "good farmers in production and business".
In the next term, the association will continue efforts to raise the quality of its activities, concentrate on strengthening the staff, promote emulation movements of good production and business, and improve farmers living conditions.
The congress elected 28-member executive board. Mr Vo Truong Hai was elected as Chairman of the association for the 2018-2023 term.
