(ĐN) – On May 15, Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee had a working session with departments, agencies and Sonadezi Corp on converting Bien Hoa 1 industrial park into the urban-service-trading area.
Standing Deputy Secretary Tran Van Tu and Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of the provincial People’s Committee also attended the event.
Under the project, 82 factories will be moved to other industrial zones in the province. The relocation will be completed by 2022 as the urban trade and services zone is established.
The province will provide the transferred industries with compensation, support and a high level of incentives to make the move.
This will amount to more than VND15.1 trillion in total. The figure include some VND7.6 trillion for site clearance and compensation, nearly VND2.5 trillion for construction, and around VND1.3 trillion for supporting enterprises with capital to help them start from scratch.
Speaking at the working session, Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong asked local departments and agencies to give priorities to the function conversion project, create favorable conditions for enterprises to stabilize their operations and business after relocation, while ensuring sustainable development and environmental protection, contributing to local economic development.
