The figure included 42 newly-licensed FDI projects, with total registered capital of US$346.6 million and 34 projects registering to increase their capital by US$343.2 million.
New FDI projects are in line with Dong Nai’s policy on prioritising high-tech and environmentally friendly projects.
Up to 45 countries and territories have invested in Dong Nai with the Republic of Korea (RoK), China’s Taiwan and Japan topping the list.
So far, Dong Nai has lured 1,790 FDI projects with combined investment capital of US$32.5 billion, including 1,320 valid projects worth nearly US$27.5 billion.
Notable projects include the HI KNIT’s project at Nhon Trach 6A industrial park with total registered investment of US$40 million from RoK, the Netherlands-invested project worth US$33 million at Giang Dien IP.
