FDI attraction drops in first two months

(ĐN) - Dong Nai attracted US$62.2 million foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first two months, fulfilling more than 6 percent of the year's plan and equivalent to 29 percent of the amount reported in the same period last year, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

Of the total, US$22.7 million came from four new projects, and the remaining US$39.5 million from investment added to three existing projects.

Among nations and territories investing in Dong Nai in Jan-Feb, the Republic of Korea , Japan Taiwan and Singapore were the leading investors.

Until February-end, the province boasts some 1,754 projects with a total investment of around US$32 billion, including 1,300 valid projects worth nearly USS$27 billion.
