Provincial leader pays New Year visits to enterprises

(ĐN)- On December 29, a delegation led by Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hung of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee paid New Year visits to Dong Nai Customs Department, Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA), Corporation for the Development of Dong Nai Industrial Zone (Sonadezi), and Dong Nai Food Industrial Corp (Dofico).

In 2017, Dong Nai Customs Department collected some VND16,800 billion for the State budget revenue, fulfilling 110 percent of the yearly plan. The department reported an increase of 10 percent in import-export turnover.

Besides, it also held dialogues with Japanese, South Korean, and Taiwanese businesses to clear up their concerns and promoted e-tax declaration service to save costs and transaction time for enterprises

This year, DIZA lured US$1.36 billion in FDI, exceeding 36 percent of the set plan.

In 2017, Dofico’s turnover reached nearly VND7,000 billion, fulfilling 128 percent of the yearly target and contributed more than VND1,800 billion to state budget. Its after-tax profit estimated at over VND400 billion. On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year, the company planed to spend VND2-3 billion to care for policy families and local poor residents.

Sonadezi earned revenue of some VND3,800 billion and after-tax profit of around VND713 billion this year, contributing nearly VND550 billion to state budget. Currently, the monthly average income of workers at the company was VND15.7 million.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc  Hung highly appreciated efforts made by the enterprises to complete their tasks this year and hoped that they will continue to take necessary measures to fulfill targets set for 2018.
