(ĐN)-The purchase price of dried pepper dropped on January 9 by VND5,000 per kilo to VN65,000-67,000 per kilo in Dong Nai against the previous month.
The cause for the fall in prices is said to be a sharp increase in quantity in recent years.
Dong Nai is now home to more than 17,000 ha of pepper, 10,000 ha higher than the set target.
2018 is forecast to be a difficult year for Vietnam’s pepper.
