(ĐN)- On January 18, Dong Nai province’s Steering Committee for Combating Smuggling, Commercial Fraud and Counterfeit Goods, known as Steering Committee No. 389, organized a meeting to review activities in 2017 and launch tasks for 2018.
Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee presided over the meeting.
In 2017, Dong Nai province’s functional forces investigated more than 10,800 cases of smuggling, fake goods and trade fraud. Accordingly, over 6,630 cases were dealt with and fined a total of nearly VND1,223 billion.
This year, the province will implement tough measures to combat smuggling, counterfeiting and illegal trade. Besides, the related departments and agencies will continue to work and cooperate together to increase their operational efficiency in preventing trade fraud and controlling the market to ensure timely detection and prevention of acts of smuggling, trade frauds and counterfeit goods.
