(ĐN) – According to Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade, local enterprises shipped abroad an estimated 29,000 tonnes of rubber for US$48.2 million in 2017.
The figures represent increase of 1.4% in volume and nearly 25% in value against the same period previous year.
The province’s rubber was mainly exported to China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Germany and Thailand. Accordingly, China and Taiwan accounted for more than 51 percent of the province's total exported rubber.
According to economic experts, domestic rubber market saw signals of recovery as rubber prices increased in first quarter of this year. Currently, the average export price is almost US$1,520 (over VND34.2 million) per tonne.
