(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People's Committee Tran Van Vinh on November 21 had a working session with a delegation of German enterprises who learned investment opportunities in the field of waste treatment in the province.

The German enterprises, with experience in engineering and environmental treatment, want to cooperate with Dong Nai to build waste treatment systems in the province.

Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh said that Dong Nai had a large amount of household and industrial waste which produces thousands of tons every day, adding that the province has planned build 9 waste treatment complexes but most of the waste is being buried.

Dong Nai is calling investors with modern waste treatment technologies to invest in the waste treatment complexes to generate garbage to produce electricity, fertilizer, fuels, etc, with the aim to reduce the rate of burying garbage to under 15 percent.

Dong Nai province is currently home to 6 projects from German investors with total registered capital of nearly US$160 million.
