(ĐN)- A trade conference took place in Dong Nai province on September 29 with the participation of more than 100 Taiwanese-invested and local enterprises.
Le Van Loc, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade, said that Taiwan is now the second biggest foreign investor in Dong Nai with total investment capital of US$5.2 billion. Taiwan is a big import market of Dong Nai. In the past nine months of 2017, Dong Nai imported around US$1.1 billion worth of goods, mainly materials, from Taiwan. Therefore, businesses in Dong Nai expressed their wish to boost links to supply products for Taiwanese-invested enterprises.
Representative from the Taiwanese Business Association in Dong Nai said lots of Taiwanese enterprises investing in Dong Nai wished to find material suppliers in Vietnam, especially in Dong Nai, to reduce imports and increase advantages, adding that the association will serve as a bridge to connect Taiwanese enterprises and local enterprises in supplying materials.
The conference aimed to boost trade links between Taiwanese-invested and local enterprises, helping them find suitable partners in supplying materials.
