Rubber export prices pick up in first ten months

(ĐN) - Dong Nai shipped abroad an estimated 3,900 tonnes of rubber in October, up more than 200 tones against the previous month, according to the provincial Statistics Department.

Accordingly, the province earned US$38 million from exporting around 22,500 tonnes of rubber in the first ten months of 2017, year-on-year rise of 34 percent in value and 5 percent in volume.

China and Europe countries continued to be the province’s top export market.

In Jan-Oct, average natural rubber export prices reached 1,700 USD per tonne. It is forecast that prices will maintain their momentum throughout this year due to boosted imports from partners for stockpile.
