Nine-month cashew export increases in value

(ĐN) - Dong Nai shipped 3,400 tonnes of cashew nuts in September, a month-on-month increase of 2 percent, according to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.

The average export price for the period was over US$10,000 per tonne, up 63 percent against the same period previous year. The US and Australia remained the biggest importers of local cashew nuts

In the first nine months of this year, Dong Nai exported 26,000 tonnes of cashew nuts worth about US$245 million, down by 14 percent in volume and up 6.8 percent in value over the same period last year.
