(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade on September 27 organized a trade conference with the participation of more than 80 Japanese-invested and local enterprises.
Representatives from Japanese businesses said most of them have had to import 60-90 percent of production materials while operating in Dong Nai. Therefore, they hoped to find suitable suppliers in Dong Nai as well as to boost links to sell their products to businesses in Dong Nai.
Meanwhile, most of local enterprises participating in the conference are operating in the field of supporting industry. Many of them currently supply production materials to Japanese-invested enterprises operating in Dong Nai and export to other countries. However, they expressed their wish to expand their markets in the country and export. In addition, they also hoped to boost links to buy materials from Japanese-invested businesses.
Keiichi Kadowaki, President of the Japanese Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City (JBAH), said that the association has now 923 Japanese-invested businesses, including 111 businesses in Dong Nai. The Japanese businesses wished to promote links with partners in Dong Nai and other localities in the country in supply materials. The cooperation would reduce costs, increase product value and contribute to increasing trade between Vietnam and Japan.
