Of the total, US$340 million came from 55 new projects, and the remaining US$616 million from investment added to 84 existing projects.
Major projects in the period included Powerknit VN’s US$60 million shoe manufacturing factory and Pou Phong VN’s shoe sole manufacturing plant worth US$55 million coming from the British Virgin Islands investors.
Dong Nai is now home to 1,300 valid FDI projects with a total investment of some USS$26.3 billion.
