The facility is designed to serve the local market, offering consumer and industrial packaging service for products such as Scotch-Brite scouring pad, sticking plaster, abrasive paper and Post-it note pad using 3M technologies.
Sung Jong Yoon, managing director of 3M Vietnam, said the new plant plays an important role in meeting the increasing demands of domestic use and exports. The expansion of the new factory is a strategic move of 3M in Vietnam, marking a long-term development scheme of the company in the market and its efforts in expanding production lines, processing and distributing 3M products, he said in a statement released on July 17.
The enterprise has maintained a high and stable growth rate in recent years.
