(ĐN)- The Prime Minister has approved HCM city’s proposal to add the two projects of Cat Lai Bridge and Can Gio Bridge into HCM city’s master plan of developing transportation until 2020 and vision after 2020.

The Cat Lai Bridge will cross the Dong Nai River and link the city’s District 2 with Nhon Trach District in Dong Nai province. The bridge, which will be 4.5 km including approach roads, will be 60m wide with six motor vehicle lanes and two mixed lanes. The bridge has designed speed of 80 kph.
Meanwhile, the Can Gio Bridge will replace the Bình Khánh ferry and link Nha Be and Can Gio districts in HCM city. The bridge will cross the Soai Rap River, which will be about 7.3km long, inclusive of approach roads, and 40m wide with four motor vehicle lanes and two mixed lanes. The bridge has designed speed of 60 kph.
