As many as 30 out of 32 industrial zones of the southern province of Dong Nai have built wastewater treatment plants with combined capacity of more than 135,000 cubic metres per day, said the provincial People's Committee.
As many as 30 out of 32 industrial zones of the southern province of Dong Nai have built wastewater treatment plants with combined capacity of more than 135,000 cubic metres per day, said the provincial People’s Committee.
According to the Industrial Zone Management Board of the province, those 30 industrial zones produce about 96,000 cubic metres of wastewater a day.
The province has set up 25 automatic wastewater monitoring stations, which connect to a centre at the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment. Statistics of environment quality will be sent to the centre, helping monitoring work.
Vo Van Chanh, Vice Chairman of the province People’s Committee said that six additional monitoring stations will be set up in six industrial zones, ensuring the constant operation of wastewater treatment system.
The provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment will coordinate with the Industrial Zone Management Board and relevant agencies to monitor the operation of existing monitoring stations and supervise the construction of six new ones.
