(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai provincial Statistic Department, the province’s garment and textile export turnover in January this year reached nearly US$154.4 million, a year-on-year rise of 3.6 percent.
In recent years, Dong Nai’s garment and textile sector has focused on diversifying the sources of supply of materials to ease the dependence on foreign source and increase the flexible competition capacity. However, local companies are losing orders to the hands of Chinese and Indian enterprises which can make products at lower prices.
In the coming time, the sector will continue efforts to raise the localization rate and improve its productivity, quality, and competitiveness.
