(ĐN)- According to gas trading firms, the price of cooking gas has been increased by VND1,800 per 12kg canister from January 1.
The retail price of a 12kg cooking gas canister now ranges between VND300,000 and VND320,000. The price hike was attributed to a rise in the global gas price, which is $465per tonne now, a surge of $65 per tonne from the previous year.
Currently, 60 percent of the total gas consumption in the country has to be imported, making local gas prices be adjusted following global gas prices.
