(ĐN)- In 2016, Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DoARD) helped 336 local poor farmer households to access to preferential loans totaling more than VND3.1 billion. Besides, the department also made efforts to raise income, offer breeding animals and boost the transfer of technology for local farmers.
The province plans to disburse credit package worth VND4.8 billion next year to provide preferential loans for local poor farmers to develop production.
Director Huynh Thanh Vinh of the DoARD stressed that the sector would continue to mobilise social resources for sustainable poverty reduction in coming time.
