(ĐN)- According to Trang Bom district People’s Committee, the project of large-scaled field model linking production with consuming cashew products in An Vien commune has so far attracted the registration of 384 households which cover 548 hectares of land.
The cashew cultivation area is also attracting businesses to invest in the project of large-scaled field model intercropping cocoa trees with cashew trees. The project will be implemented in 2017. The district is providing support local farmers to pilot the cultivation of 10 hectares intercropping cocoa trees in cashew tree gardens.
In addition, Trang Bom has invested to build 4km of road in the project area and helped participating farmers replace old cashew trees with new ones.
