(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s industrial production index (IPI) in the first ten months of 2016 rose over 8.2% year-on-year, according to the Department of Planning and Investment.
In the reviewed period, the production of some industrial products soared compared to the same period last year, with the highest rise in footwera at nearly 20 percent, motor vehicles at 13 percent, products from rubber, plastic and non-metallic minerals at some 12 percent.
However, a number of industries saw declines in production value, including textile and garment and furniture. These products are facing fierce competition from similar products from ASEAN countries, China and India.
