So far, nineteen Australian enterprises poured some US$65 million into Dong Nai; many of them are operating effectively, contributing to local economic development.
Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai expressed hope that Australian investors will further increase their investment in the province, especially in hi-tech industry and agriculture.
Australian Ambassador in Vietnam Craig Chittick said that the Australia-Vietnam bilateral trade has been growing strongly in recent years with bilateral trade at US$10 billion in 2015. He believed that there will be more Australian investors to operate in Vietnam generally and Dong Nai particularly in the coming time.
Education is currently Australia’s largest export to Vietnam and a key component of the bilateral relationship. Australia is already the leading study destination for Vietnamese students, some 25,000 of whom were enrolled in Australian institutions last year.
