Manufacturing and processing lead in FDI attraction

(ĐN)- According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment's Foreign Investment Agency, Vietnam attracted over US$16 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first nine months of this year.

(ĐN)- According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Foreign Investment Agency, Vietnam attracted over US$16 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first nine months of this year.

Foreign investors poured money into 19 sectors, with manufacturing and processing industries topping the lead with US$12.15 billion, accounting for 73.9 percent of the total registered FDI.

It was followed by the real estate and sci-tech sectors, with US$1 billion and US$649 million, or 6.1 percent and 3.9 percent of the total FDI, respectively.

Dong Nai remains the country’s third-biggest receiver of FDI, with US$1.89 billion being poured into the locality in Jan-Sept, after Hai Phong and Ha Noi.
