(ĐN)- The footwear sector’s exports reached over US$2 billion in the first eight months of this year, up 20 percent against the same period last year, according to Dong Nai Statistics Department.
In August only, exports of footwear products were valued at US$287 million, a month-on-month increase of US$27 million.
Footwear is the biggest export commodity of Dong Nai in the recent years.
Presently, many enterprises have won orders until the end of next year. Accordingly, local major footwear producers have strongly expanded their operation in a bid to fully tap potential offered by international integration.
