Thailand is now ranked second among Asean investors in Dong Nai.
With 37 projects worth US$1.4 billion, Thailand ranks fifth among more than 40 countries and territories investing in the province.
During his reception for Thai Consul General, Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong expressed his hope that the diplomat, in her new position, will continue supporting and promoting Vietnam-Thailand relations to a new height, particularly the ties between Dong Nai and Thai enterprises.
Most of Thai enterprises are doing business well in Dong Nai and have expanded their operating scales while the province always creates favorable conditions for Thai investors to seek opportunities and land investment in the locality, Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong said.
For her part, the Ambassador pledged to act as a bridge linking Vietnam and Thailand, helping further promote the bilateral friendship and cooperation relations.
