Dong Nai seeks agriculture investment opportunities in Taiwan

Slaughtering house of Gia Nhat Huong Food Company

The establishment belongs to Gia Nhat Huong Food Company- a business specializes in manufacturing animal feed, breeding pigs, raising pigs and slaughtering, processing and distributing pork products- which was established in February, 1984 with charter capital of TWD460 million.

This company currently has a microorganism feed plant with annual capacity of 240,000 products, one pig farm covering 25 hectares with 2,300 sows, supplying 620,000 high quality breeding pigs a year.

As for the establishment in Pingtung city, it has capacity of slaughtering 350 pigs a day with its products meeting HACCP standards and is granted ISO 22000 certificate. Its products are also exported to China and Japan.

On this occasion, the company also learned about the conditions for investing in husbandry as well as building a slaughtering plant and supply chain in Dong Nai province.

Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh said that the fact-finding trip has helped provide Dong Nai ideas in managing livestock, slaughtering, producing and building safety food supply chain from farm to table. The province also took this occasion to call for Nhat Gia Huong company and other enterprises in Taiwan to invest in the fields of agriculture and processing industry in Dong Nai, he added.
