In the first eight months of the year, the province placed first in attracting ASEAN investments with 7 new projects and 13 added-capital projects totaling US$537 million, followed by Hanoi with US$510 million.
During the reviewed period, the processing and manufacturing sector lured the majority of ASEAN investment with 63 new projects and 54 added-capital projects worth US$1.45 billion, or 52.5 percent of the bloc's total FDI registered in the country. This was followed by the real estate industry total capital of US$559 million or 20.1 percent.
